Marketing\/product, as it relates to<br \/>\npublic relations (PR), in its traditional form, is moving towards a state of<br \/>\ndecline. There is a strong resemblance to the fact that social media is<br \/>\nincreasingly the better venue for the promoting and introduction of products.<br \/>\nThat makes for the statement; \u201csocial media is here to stay,\u201d being a valid<br \/>\nstatement, which correctly reflects the true future of social media. Another<br \/>\ntell-tale indicator would be that recent trends have shown that corporate<br \/>\nbudget allocations, for measurement and evaluating of the PR department, have<br \/>\ndoubled during the span of 2009 to 2011.
