You probably have heard the phrase, “Make money while you sleep”. It’s a common phrase that describes the power of passive income, i.e., make a product one time and reap the rewards for years to come.

Passive income can benefit absolutely everyone, no matter what type of business you have, whether it’s product-based or service-based. The key is to make your product creation process as simple and as inexpensive as possible. This doesn’t mean that your product will be cheap; it means that you focus on your area of expertise that solves a common problem for your audience, and create a quality product around it.

First, let’s review why coaches need to create a stream of passive income:

  1. Supplement your income when a client cancels their contract. No one wants to think about losing a client (or two!) but it happens. Instead of panicking at the idea of finding a new client to fill that space, you can approach the task calmly, knowing you have passive income to fill that gap temporarily.
  2. Expand your name recognition and attract new buyers from your target audience. The world is a big place, and you always have the opportunity to reach new people in your target audience. Pricing products on the low end for passive income, can entice newcomers to learn more about you and your coaching practices.

  4. Taking your prospects through a sales funnel, starting with a low-priced passive income product, ultimately leads them to your more expensive coaching packages. A sales funnel is a must-have for coaches, because people want to know about your work prior to paying hundreds or thousands of dollars on a coaching package. Showcase your expertise with smaller, passive income products first, then entice those buyers with your higher priced packages.
  5. Use passive income products as part of your overall marketing plan. When you have products, you can run promotions which garner attention on social media. Offer a freebie, a bonus, if they buy a coaching package, or offer a chapter of your eBook as a teaser to entice them to buy. Unique promotions will attract attention from new prospects in your target market.

Is Passive Income Really Passive?

There are many benefits of passive income as an additional stream of income, but some coaches have questioned if you can really ‘set it and forget it’ when it comes to creating passive income. Let’s explore this a bit further.

First of all, creating any kind of product takes some time. Even if you’re taking the information from your own experiences, you’ll need time to write it out or record it. You’ll need to allow time for proofreading and editing. If you outsource some of the editing and design tasks, you’ll have other people’s availability added to the mix. So time is certainly involved, but by delving into expert material you already know, the first part of creating the product should be simple.

Once your product is complete, you’ll have a launch to prepare for. As wonderful as search engines may be, you don’t want to hope and pray that people find your product; you have to tell them you have a product available, which means press releases, social media blitzes, a book release party, virtual book tour… the list could go on and on. To showcase your new product, you need to claim the spotlight.

After your launch is over, you can refocus your energies on your coaching clients; however, you don’t ever want to fall into the ‘forget it’ phase, because people need reminding. You don’t have to email them every day about your product, but don’t be afraid to mention it in your weekly newsletter or as a postscript in other email blasts.

Here are some additional actions you can take to promote your product(s):

� Add a graphic to your website home page with a link to your sales page.

� Create an affiliate program for others to promote your product for a commission and send out an announcement about it.

� Create a monthly social media message which includes occasional promotions of your product.

Organic sales are wonderful, and they certainly happen, but you shouldn’t depend solely on the search engines to bring buyers to you.

Paid ads on Facebook, Google, and YouTube can also get the word out about your product(s). Be sure to monitor your ad performances so you know what’s working and what’s not.

In Conclusion

Passive income products can boost your sales, your business assets, and your confidence. I say “confidence,” because there’s nothing quite as bolstering as seeing sales coming in continuously from a product you created once.

Hexagram 45

I.The Oracle 

A. Hexagram forty-five follows it’s course as its’s attempts to garner speech and influence others at a crucial gathering. I think they already know that.  

   1. Gathering Together. The King approaches his temple.
        Everything is now favorable, all is good.
   2. Success, Perseverance furthers in the long-term.
        To bring great offerings creates good fortune.
         It furthers one to undertake something.

B. The Image

  1. The Lake over The Earth
      a) The image of Gathering Together.
      b) A good time to meet with the great man.
      c) Thus the superior man renews his weapons —
           In order to meet the unforeseen.   

II. My interpretation 

A. “Stay the Course”

  It is very wise that one cares for one’s self as one might care for another. Illness can at some point spread to that of the caregiver.    Gatherings are good for directly keeping all prominent stakeholders in the loop, but there is a half chance of contracting some type of contagious bug. You know that thing that Mosquitoes do.  All is well because someone brought a very valuable gift to the table. Could it be knowledge — or is it that over time the caregiver has with great success overcame most societal illusions — and to that extent, endured.   Now, remember, to expect illness is one matter, but don’t accept mal-directed public sentiment which mandates these terms — that is not the way the bus, in reality, is headed. Look into your crystal ball and find somewhere very auspicious to go. And remember also, there’s always going to be your strategic responsibilities, and eating away at that, will be small malaise attacks upon your shinning merits, in your judgments, “Be reasonable.”    Above all, think of the results of being sincere to the end with your aforesaid intentions, not wavering in our own set responsibilities. That is just a mirage, “Stay The Course”, be true to yourself and the people you care for, never mislead.

Hexagram 11

I. The Oracle 

A. Hexagram Eleven is very closely related to PEACE, hence, the coming together of heaven and earth, The Great Merger. There is nothing wrong with attraction, that’s exactly what happens when by nature, opposites do blindly seek one to the perfectly matched other. 

Another variation would be the idea of -heaven and earth mingling within the reality of man,- or better yet, -They Join and make something better, a better person.-(5) The time is correct for drastic movements in any direction; at best become pervasive with your plan, but not to the point of stepping on the foot of the master of ceremonies as you enjoy euphoric contentment at this time. Again, there is an advantage in whatever direction one might take at this time, but if you do, do not force your opinions on those you might meet along the way, for now, -do not use the Army.-(2)
  1. Now is a good time to cross the great water. I say that because as the image depicts, we see that of haven below and earth above, this is a time of natural peaceful resolutions which is as planned by the command of nature, which is beyond man’s control. It is the nature of existence to be in accord with this due happenstance today. There is some headway if one recognizes that the earth is a part of the solar system and that we must first connect and unite here on earth at this time before connecting with Mars or Venus, although that is a distance wish.

The internet has made it possible to reach out and say good morning to someone on the other side of earth within Nanoseconds, we need to connect and unite and move in tune with the nature of time. Technology man. Above all, keep your beliefs, but stop looking for a payphone; because times are changing, so make modifications to your lifestyle.

   2. Peace :
This is a time of merging for the greater good. One big greenhouse, we are all in. At this time this is the image that should be on one’s mind. This is not a thing that is of a permanent state, meaning it is just for the moment, now.

The ebb and flow of time, accept it and move with it. During these times it is said that -openness is the prerequisite of Influence,-(2) hence, transparency is the best course of action right now. Although the times are of peaceful contentment, abound, do not stray from your appointed, or planned path. (2) The general to carry is, “#Be-consistent.”

B. The Image

  1. Earth above, Heaven below, at this moment all is vice-versa.
      a) The small go and the big come, the idea of pervading. This can be described as a situation where there is an expansion with the notion of continually spreading of prosperity via communicating the idea pervading, or connecting as we come into accord with the appointed time. (3)
      b) Thus there is a great advantage in moving forward and making our crucial connections at this time for the greater good of all on earth, particularly, “his universe.” The preparation is for the next phase, Obstruction. (3)

II. My interpretation

  A. All I can see is the idea of one planet at a time. We need to focus on the up-keep of this planet right now. We know what will happen if during the course of ones invasive, and opinionated ideas, being imposed on others by force, but now there is a need for a pervasive idiom that finally makes sense, self-actualization. Take care, there is only one Sun. Do you know anyone from any other planet? We are on the same planet, yet we are distant with our plans for the future of the earth as a whole.

The Sun is a double edge sword, it could help the earth by maintaining life, or it could over radiate the oceans over time, again if left unchecked, environmental equilibrium imbalance could result in great losses. What we want to see at this time is a seed which is of heavenly qualities, with the ability to procreate, as it forces its way upwards, or up and down, within the earth. Thus, we can say the great approaches, the uniting of heaven and earth, the image of Peace. Good fortune, Success, and Growth. (1)

1. Again, now is a good time to cross the great river, in plain words, there will be going and coming with no loss. The hexagram has more to do with that of expansion and less to do with that of Splitting Apart as is the case with Hexagram 23.
Remember, no one can stop Heaven and earth from joining. Before you were born this had happened before, you cannot stop the process from happening as Heaven and Earth self- checks itself. You are here because that was your wish to be born, do not think you can now control equilibrium as it exists within this notion of now. Be a good neighbor and help keep the earth clean for the next group wishing to be born who will hopefully help the earth to evolve, and bloom. I also see fall planting of seeds today.
